Treasurer’s Letter: 2021 Fees Increase Effective 1 October 2021

Dear Member,

The Board of Directors of the Australian Brangus Cattle Association have decided to increase some of our fees. We do this reluctantly as we are very conscious of providing good value to our members. For a number of years we have absorbed inflation in setting our fees, and in some cases, such as DNA testing, we have made no profit for the association. We have avoided mark-ups, and tried to provide the most economical option.

Recent reviews of our finances and budget has led to the situation that we need to ensure the long term viability of the association as well as build up assets so as to increase promotional efforts in the future. As the economic situation of the beef industry improves our members and the association itself will surely benefit. We cannot ignore inflation, and to provide the best service for our membership the Board will continue to manage our finances the best we can.

Kind regards,

Luke Keogh
Honorary Treasurer
