With the rapid adoption of genomics and advances with Single Step Genomic Evaluations, Neogen would like to extend an offer to all members of the Australian Brangus Cattle Association (ABCA) to take up Neogen’s Muster offer, whereby breeders can upgrade any animal on to the 100K genomic SNP Chip for a limited time special price.

• A chance to update any females that may not have a genomic profile but have a sample and previous testing (eg. SeekSire, Coat & Poll results) on file at Neogen
• Test your next round of heifers or steers at a special rate
• Increase your herd’s presence in the breed’s reference population
• Assist in the growth and development of the Australian Brangus Cattle Association reference population

The Details:

• 100K SNP genotype $42.50ea ex GST for inclusion into the ABCA reference population
• Open to all members of the ABCA
• No minimum samples required
• Samples can be new or existing*
• TSU samples preferred – sample type charges will apply (hair, semen)
• Parent Verification additional at $5 ex GST per sample
• No additional tests (BVDV, genetic conditions, poll etc.)
• Valid for samples received at NAA before 31st May 2023 only
• To be submitted via standard DNA submission protocols with ABCA – not applicable for direct customer/member submissions

*please note that existing samples may be exhausted and/or aged to the point where they cannot be further tested.
ABCA must provide case numbers on existing samples with corresponding animal ID via standard DNA submission protocols.
