From 1 June 2021, before you move cattle, buffalo, bison or deer from a property in the cattle tick infested zone into the cattle tick free zone, you'll need to provide a written declaration to an accredited certifier. Your declaration must list the steps you’ve undertaken to ensure your livestock meet the risk minimisation requirements.

The risk minimisation requirements haven't changed. These requirements are in place to reduce the risk of cattle tick outbreaks in the free zone.
