2022 Brangus Carcase Competition
Expressions of Interest
Dear Brangus Enthusiasts,
The Brangus Carcase Competition Committee is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the 2022 Brangus Carcase Competition.
Similar to previous years, the steers & heifers will be judged on weight gain and carcase eating ability. The Brangus prime cuts will be available at the Bracken Ridge Tavern in Brisbane and Yeppoon Central Meats during Brangus Month (August). All reports received by the Brangus Carcase Committee on previous years have been very positive.
The Brangus Carcase Competition is your chance to be part of something big and support our Breed!
There are 4 classes for entry -
- Class A – Brangus Purebred Steers
- Class B – Brangus Crossbred Steers*
*Brangus Cross Steers must be either by a Brangus Bull or out of a Brangus Cow - Class C – Brangus Purebred Heifers
- Class D – Brangus Crossbred Heifers*
*Brangus Cross Heifers must be either by a Brangus Bull or out of a Brangus Cow

While the EOI are not binding, the committee will use the EOI to assess if the competition will run again in 2022. We encourage all Brangus breeders to enter where possible, if you are unable to enter but know a commercial breeder who may be, please pass on the information about the Brangus Carcase Competition.
