Nominations have now closed for the 8th annual Roma Brangus Sale scheduled for 6 September, 2013 and the draw has been completed.

The sale has attracted record entries with 161 bulls (120 registered and 41 herd bulls), 27 registered females and 2 semen packages being offered.  These come from twenty-six vendors from as far North as the Atherton Tableland to Casino on North Coast of New South Wales, South to Euroa in Victoria, two from locations in central West New South Wales, 2 studs from Tenterfield, one from South of Tamworth and one at Bundarra in NSW together with studs at St. George, Taroom, Monto, Roma, Condamine, Waterford, Toogoolawah, Boonah, Laidley and 6 studs on the Darling Downs.

With the large number of entries, the committee has decided to bring forward the starting time to 10am to ensure buyers can move their purchases well before nightfall.

Sale day will be a great opportunity for Stud breeders and commercial breeders wanting to upgrade their herds.  With plenty of stock to choose from, there should be plenty of  bargains available.  Be sure to check out the sale catalogue on the Brangus website.  I anticipate that this will be online shortly as Jamie at ABCA has all the material.
