BRANGUS breeders are preparing for their World Congress in Rockhampton May next year with a weekend marketing workshop in Eidsvold on June 18-19.
Held jointly by the Australia Brangus Cattle Association and Queensland Country Life, the weekend of workshops is aimed at helping Brangus breeders make the most of their opportunities when the international spotlight is cast their way during Beef 2012. Organiser Peter Dingle said all Brangus breeders were invited to take part."This is an outstanding opportunity, which covers a range of topics from media and marketing to feeding, showing and measuring your animals," Mr Dingle said.

The workshops will be held at the RM Williams Learning Centre and Eidsvold Showgrounds.Mr Dingle urged breeders to lodge their interest quickly on a 'first in-first served' basis."The invitation to the workshops will be open to producers of other breeds if places are not filled by June 10," she said.

SATURDAY - Media and Marketing - an intensive workshop hosted by the Qld Country Life, exploring photography, editorials and marketing
SUNDAY - Measures and More - a series of presentations (with Q&A session) on Genestar and SireTrace (Pfizer), EBVs (TBTS), feed and nutrition, presenting and showing (ABCA).
This is a fantastic chance for Brangus producers to make the very most of their stud or commercial operation. Information updates on the World Brangus Congress will also be available.It's also a great chance to catch up with fellow Brangus breeders, with a social BBQ and drinks on Saturday night.
