The Beef CRC, CSIRO, MLA and Animal Genetics & Breeding Unit (AGBU) in collaboration with the University of Queensland have recently announced the release of this test. This test will reduce the time required to prove a sire or dams true poll status and allow increased selection for the homozygous animals in the herd. Further details will be supplied to Brangus members on pricing when available.

Producers who wish to learn more about the test and the benefits can log into a webinar conducted by Tropical Beef Technology Services (TBTS) on the 23rd August 2010. Log onto the TBTS website and register from the Webinars link on the home page.
